If you’re despairing at being single over the holidays, take heart!

It is very common for people to meet their soulmate somewhere along the year end festivities.

Perhaps, it is the intensified longing that brings love or the many parties or reaching out that is done during the season.

But if you undertake the upcoming days with the right attitude, you may be surprised at what happens.

Some tips on making holiday magic happen:

1. Put connection first & foremost. Do everything you can to bring enjoyment to your holidays. This puts you in a magnetic frame of mind & you’ll have fun even if love doesn’t come along

2. Plan well. Keep your energy positive by setting up some treats for yourself such as spending time with friends, a good novel or even avoiding things that bring you down. Learning to take care of your own happiness is key to attracting love, even if the activity doesn’t seem directly related to meeting someone

3. Appreciate the Season’s Gifts. Maybe time with family brings up your stuff (& by all means, minimize it if you need to or schedule breaks from them), but there are many things about the holidays to appreciate. Time off from work. Festive occasions. Gifts to unwrap and to give. Revel in the break from routine in any way you can.

I have no doubt that many will be emailing me with their delightful holiday love stories, and I hope YOU'RE one of them.

 Holiday Heartbreak

Going through the holidays shortly after a divorce, a breakup, heartbreak or even a death can cast a pall on them. But you can make the best of the time and even find comfort in it. And if you use the above advice to find new love, you wouldn’t be the first to do so even as you grieve.

Don’t expect life to be normal. You won’t be up to snuff, but you can choose a focus to minimize pain.

Being with others and seeking connection with friends, family and meeting new people can help you to quit dwelling on the past.

It is certainly a time for self-indulgence. You’ve never had a better excuse to opt out of things you don’t enjoy or to stay home all day in your jammies watching reality TV marathons.

But don’t indulge in a pity party. Do a release and then replace it with hope for your future and some steps in that direction. Feeding the attachment by wallowing in it will put you through needless misery.

It’s a great time to prepare for an amazing new year creating your dreams coming true!

Q: Kathryn, I'm a pretty big introvert, and right now, I'm miserable. I need my home time and find it hard to go out. And yet, I get super lonely at home because I haven't yet found love. I need to get out for some companionship and yet this is hard on me. And I do feel pressure to get out to meet someone. What do I do? How am I going to get through the holidays?

A: I had this same problem when I was single, and I have a name for it: "The Introvert's Dilemma"

It's hard because we introverts need our alone and home time and yet, it can get lonely there until we find love. Here are some suggestions:

1) Find a balance of staying home and occasionally getting out. Plan on some things to do, even getting proactive, so you aren't miserable during the holidays. Ask friends and family what they are doing and while pacing yourself, do make some plans. You can even invite people over to your house for a gathering.

2) Remember that you may very well attract love while staying at home if you are doing my work. It's my specialty. But you will still need to connect with someone you don't yet know so you'll need to be okay with going out with this person once you attract them

3) For introverts, one thing that works is developing a comfortable few places to go where you know folks -- a circle of friends, a spiritual center, a restaurant or a regular class. It feels more like home and in this way, you're expanding your ability to get out at least a little bit without undue stress.

4) Keep your end game in mind. When you meet your soulmate and seal the deal, you're living together and your delicious companionship is right there at home. This person gets your need for alone time and yet is there for you, and provides a great connection at home. Your love can often do the more extroverted chores like shopping and shlepping so this is really something to look forward to!

One Suggestion: I am teaching on a 7 day cruise in February 2015. This is very rare for me. If you come, the setup is that you will have built-in connections, including me and my family. I am including for anyone signing up through me some prep work to make connecting easier and an on-board scavenger hunt that will automatically cause you to meet others in a pressure-free, instructive way that will enhance your social skills. (You will not believe how many people have met and married from meeting at my events or made life long friends!)

We will have 7 days together, and my intention is for it to be a great time of making new friends, learning so much about heart connecting and possibly finding love, too. There will rarely be this kind of a chance to get out in a gentle, supportive environment, so I hope you join me and my fellow teachers. Find out more while you can still get in (it's filling up) at this link:

I'm blessing you for finding your way through the Introvert's Dilemma as so many of us have done. You have a bright future ahead of you, and you are absolutely supported in being the introvert that you are. There are many, many pluses to being an introvert, and you do get a love that fits in with your life perfectly!

Happy Thanksgiving! We are spending the day with family & friends. I’m making deviled eggs and a tofurky roast for those vegetarians amongst us.

I hope you have a wonderful day, as we express gratitude for all that we have.

On that note, we begin a special phase today of accelerated manifestation that includes Step 1 of what I call the 1-2-3 Punch.

I always find it useful to acknowledge this and use the heightened period to consciously create the next intention that we want.

If you are ready for your soulmate, we’re exploring Step 2 on Tuesday with a free teleseminar called “Love Sabotage.” You can sign up for it here:

In this blog, I’ll teach you the first step of the 1-2-3 Punch to manifest. Stay tuned for Steps 2 and 3 in future newsletters.

Have a great Thanksgiving!

Love,
Kathryn

The 1-2-3 Punch

The holidays offer a period of time in which we can manifest more easily than usual: moving from one year to another, time out from usual activities plus a chance for celebrating.

If you have a strong wish for change in your life, it’s a great time to capitalize on this opportunity – starting now.

Even if you are not in the U.S. where today we give thanks for what we have, it’s the perfect time to begin this process. It follows a natural phase that occurs during the
next few weeks.

This exercise is one of conscious life evaluation and resetting for your next wishes.

Step 1: THANKSGIVING. Today (or over the long weekend), make a list of everything you are grateful for in your life. From simple things like your health, your breath and the sunshine to blessings during this past year, really stop to appreciate your year’s highlights.

You can ritualize this – as we do – by speaking a couple of your gratitude highlights together in a group round robin. Or do it privately alone or with one or two people. As you
take this step, really give thanks for what 2012 has brought – the good things.

Step 2 - Step 2 has to do with release. I will talk more about this step in my next blog and then, Step 3 of this magical process closer to the end of the year. I have used the 1-2-3 Punch to manifest as many as TWENTY-THREE intentions in one year. I’d love you to have that same success!

I’m doing a free teleseminar this coming Tuesday called “Love Sabotage” to honor Step 2 – getting rid of any pattern that may have thwarted you in your wishes for your soulmate. I’d
love you to join us. Sign up here:
